The Admissions office and the Rural Admissions position work collaboratively across campus to recruit prospective undergraduate students and process all applications and documents for undergraduate, graduate, and non-degree students for all three campuses: Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan at the University of Alaska Southeast. To thrive in this role, you must be comfortable with public speaking, meeting one-on-one and in small groups with students, parents, and school staff and administrators, communicating authentically, and appreciating local knowledge and culture. This role focuses on increasing rural Alaskan and Alaska Native recruitment; therefore, this role must connect with the rural and Alaska Native communities to make a lasting connection.
