Plastics are decomposable.

Description:

Yes you read it right! everybody is aware that plastics are not decomposable, yet we prone to use them, we are actually habituated to them. So what if we use the plastics that are decomposable other than the non-decomposable ones? sounds good right? There are cases we cannot totally get rid of the plastic usage, at times like that we can use the decomposable plastics like Biodegradable plastics or Bioplastics. Now what does this mean? 1.Biodegradable plastic is plastic which degrades under biological (mainly microbial) action. Some biodegradable plastics are compostable (but not all), which means they degrade under controlled conditions, such as those occurring at compost (or anaerobic digestion) sites. 2.Bioplastics — typically plastics manufactured from bio-based polymers . Types of Bioplastics: Bioplastics are currently used in disposable items like packaging, containers, straws, bags and bottles, and in non-disposable carpet, plastic piping, phone casings, 3D printing, car insulation and medical implants. The global bioplastic market is projected to grow from $17 billion this year to almost $44 billion in 2022. There are two main types of bioplastics. 1.LA (polylactic acid) is typically made from the sugars in corn starch, cassava or sugarcane. 2.PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoate) is made by microorganisms, sometimes genetically engineered, that produce plastic from organic materials.
